Goal 1: By May 2026, literacy Standards of Learning (SOL) pass rates for English Language Learners will increase by 20% from a 35% pass rate in 2025 to 55% pass rate in 2026.
- Strategy: Identify areas of student need based on classroom and division wide assessments and plan for intervention as a grade level and coaching team.
- Strategy 2: All teachers will incorporate student discourse strategies and explicit vocabulary instruction into weekly classroom instruction.
- Strategy 3: Support co-teaching between general education teacher and ESOL teacher
Goal 2: By May of 2026, Rockhill Elementary School will retain 100% of staff who are not retiring, leaving the area, or moving for reasons beyond their control.
- Strategy 1: Administration and/or coaches will be present in classrooms daily to support and model for teachers as well as provide feedback.
- Strategy 2: Regular Grade level lead, professional development, and staff meetings to streamline communication and encourage leadership and collaboration among the team, as well as to provide clarity for staff.
- Strategy 3: Regular team building and staff collaboration at staff meetings.
